Breath is the primary movement of the body, the first way life moves inside of you. Vocalization is the exhale externalized and made audible with vibration, the first way your individual nature is expressed. Exploring this relationship between the inner movement of breath and the outer expression of vocalization is a dynamic approach to nervous system regulation. Breath and vocalization practices are natural antidotes to bodily disruption by fear, anxiety, depression and stress.

In this online workshop, a progressive series of breath and vocalization resources are introduced and woven together in a creative rhythm of movement and stillness to enliven your body and quiet your mind. This diverse menu of resources draws from Continuum, Taoist medicine, and other sonic traditions to create a satisfying release of bodily tensions and awakens deep states of stillness.

The Moving Art of Breathing & Sounding has been shared with groups around the world for over 20 years, and has been of particular interest to yoga, dance, and movement teachers of all types, as well as to people on the path of creative and sustainable embodiment.
